Strong results reflect students’ determination and progress at OA-Cambridge

Students at OA-Cambridge celebrated a strong set of examination results, with many achieving qualifications that support their next steps in education, training and employment.

For the 2025-26 cohort, 88% of students achieved GCSEs in both English and Maths, with 88% achieving a GCSE in English and 92% in Maths. Alongside these core subjects, 67% of students achieved at least four GCSEs, while 50% achieved five or more. The alternative provision average rate of achieving 1 or more GCSE is 49% - showing we are well above sector national averages.

Across a broad curriculum of academic and vocational subjects, pupils gained an average of 7.5 qualifications at Level 1 and Level 2, reflecting the range of pathways available to students at OA-Cambridge.

While the results provide an opportunity to celebrate academic achievement, the journey behind each qualification is equally important. For many students, reaching the end of Year 11 represents significant personal progress as well as academic success. Building confidence, developing positive relationships and re-engaging with education are all important steps towards achieving their potential.

For these young people, their qualifications and the wider skills they have developed provide an important foundation as they continue their education and work towards their future aspirations.

Mark Kirby, Head of Academy, said:

We are incredibly proud of what our students have achieved this year. These results represent much more than a set of grades – they reflect the determination, resilience and commitment our students have shown throughout their time with us. We wish every one of them the very best as they take their next steps.
